| 11/30/11 This year I decided to focus 1,000 % on making art and it's been the best decision.
Everyday's been about art, thinking about it and making it. I've met so many artists and made many new and lasting connections. Most importantly, I've been supported be terrific friends and family. I'm blessed to have been given the chance to pursue a passion and am so happy that many pieces are now in new homes!
After 11 months of happy craziness, I'm slowing down the making a bit and returning to a spiritual center. I can't wait to see what inspirations will come!
A gift for yourself or someone special! My BPresent store on Zazzle is open with over 300 products to select from. Some of my original paintings have been reproduced on note cards, ties, mouse pads, Ipad cases and more.
With 24 days to go, I wish you all a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season ... and Peace! |

9/25/11| Thinking back to 9 months ago, the year started being sick, a sketchy plan for the year and no shows lined up at all. The Law of Attraction must have kicked in because by April I was booked through the summer. It's been a great ride so far. The 'Core Series' came out of no where and is now totally sold out! I am so blessed and thankful for everyone who's supported me. | | Sept. 7th marked the grand opening of BPresent on Zazzle.com. BPresent is an online marketplace of unique gifts inspired by original artwork and inspirational messages. Great ideas for the upcoming holiday season. Be sure to visit as the selection expand. As Facebook continues to expand, so does does access to art around the world. I'm excited with the addition of over 100 new fans over the summer! Come on over and join this energizing community! |

8/7/11 It's a challenge to bring color and life from a solid black surface but ... isn't that where everything begins? Eruptions make room for something new to be born! Challenges sometime bring answers to questions you didn't know you had, growth from the learning, beauty from what is found.
This series started from a piece of wood that was oddly cut and out of place. From all things unusable I try to salvage! So 6 pieces later I think I'm on to something. Maybe from the Core of the earth I'll reach for the sky !

The Fort Point Arts Community collaborates with HBGC (Hispanic Black Gay Coalition) to present a one night art exhibition to support programs for local youth.
Non-profit organizations that support, development and mentor our youth are priceless. Since leaving the crazy-corporate life I've become more involved with giving back in the form of mentoring. The young are the stars of my future so I must invest in them.

With each work an artist creates a piece of their soul is exposed. Released, it is shared with the world to enjoy and ponder. ‘Silk Road’ opened a door for me to express without word or thought. Each section of the larger body of work and is itself an inner door. So, I am making selections of the larger works available as unique print reproductions starting at under $20. To purchase your Soul selection, please visit lee-pina.artistwebsites.com.
New connections open doors you never thought were there! In just 30 days I've had the opportunity to gain exposure across the world and connect with some fantastic artists! A special thanks to new friends at Strong Women Strong Girls, KadaFilms and Jaison Cianelli's Abstract Artist Gallery. The month kicked off with the Somerville Open Studios. Although rainy, the turnout was good. It was my first time at Somerville so I was just excited to be there! The Premium Art Center in Rockland had it's first spring open. Again, rainy but well attended. And finally, the solo show at Bridgewater Art. Sunny, warm and packed! What a great way to end the month! Thank you to everyone who helped and came out.
The ArcherWest Gallery reopened in May at their new location on Mechanic St. in Quincy, MA. I've been asked to participate in their upcoming group exhibition running mid-June through July! Stay tuned for more on the details. Congratulations to Heather and Charlene! |

 | Wow Lee! What a fantastic feeling to be able to show your work at more and more galleries. As I grow as a photographer I hope to someday be featured at a gallery. For now I am happy to be accepted into various juried shows. I am constantly learning as I grow my portfolio. You are an inspiration.... | -- Susan Paradise-burke, 6/5/11

3/18/11 | 2011 got off to a late start here. Being sick for a month and a half didn't help much. The universe always provides though and some exciting opportunities fell into my lap! I am honored to have my work appear in the upcoming film "Life Abstract" by Kada Films. The film goes into production this July. Thank you Dawna Sirard and Kay Kelison. Strong Women, Strong Girls is celebrating another wonderful year inspiring young women in our area. I've been asked to create a piece for their year-end celebration. And a nice spring closer will be a solo show at Bridgewater Art in May.
The temperature is rising, sun is shining ... spring is here!
